The Dallas Zoo and Sea Turtle, Inc. partner to offer a unique, hands-on program dedicated to protecting sea turtles and their coastal habitats near South Padre Island. Through this impactful collaboration, the program has supported Sea Turtle, Inc. by completing essential facility projects — saving staff time to focus on rescue efforts — and has welcomed more than 350 dedicated volunteers.

More than just a service trip, Saving Sea Turtles offers families the opportunity to work side-by-side on real conservation projects that make a lasting impact. From cleaning nesting beaches and restoring habitats to learning about sea turtle rescue efforts, every activity supports a healthier ecosystem. Designed for participants ages 7 and up, the program empowers individuals and families to actively contribute to sea turtle conservation and the preservation of vital coastal environments.
